    Fansite hosting guidelines

    Popstory Fansite Hosting is subject to a few guidelines which help to protect server, network resources and legal rights.
    Please follow these guidelines very strictly as you are otherwise, risking deactivation or termination of your account.
    Exceptions on some of these guidelines can be allowed in some circumstances, but ONLY with written permission of Aedae Communications / Popstory.com.

    If you think you have a good reason for us to make an exception on one of these guidelines, contact support@popstory.com and we will review your inquiry.

    Rules and Regulations for FREE Fansite Hosting

    Media files of the following types are not permitted without a written consent of FansiteHosting.org:

  • Audio-files (music) larger than 2.5 MB
  • Video-files larger than 4 MB
  • Software files larger than 4 MB
  • Images larger than 2 MB

    Additionally, any offending content is not allowed as well.

    Before creating your account you will need to already teached yourself the basic skills needed to build and publish your fansite.
    Most commonly these skills include knowledge of HTML and/or PHP, FTP and graphic design.

    After creating your account we expect you to have your site up-and-running within 45 days.
    Empty accounts are not permitted, if your new fansite is yet to be created we kindly request you to upload a proper, temporary placeholder / landing oage with coming-soon notice, contact information and a link to FansiteHosting.org.

    On your fansite, a “Hhosted by FansiteHosting.org” link to our website needs to always be visible on any screen viewed by the visitor (not on each page).

    If given a domain name, you are tied to the FansiteHosting.org network during the entire registration period.
    If you want to leave and take your domain along, please bear in mind that we will charge you $ 15,00 administration costs.

    Your site must be updated constantly (i.e on a weekly basis).
    Any site left without updates for large amounts of time will be deleted.
    It is at our discretion to remove sites or files from either our server or website.
    You will be given due notification before this happens.

    You will be expected to display our ads on your site.
    You will not be permitted to use any other sort of promotional or revenue gaining advertisements.
    This is to help support us and keep up with server costs.

    You accept to take responsibility for the content of your site.

    If your site is found to be in violation of any of the above rules it will be terminated or edited as we see fit.

    Please give one month's notice if you move to a new host.

    Your website should be located at one location (i.e with us). No re-directs or such.

    Place the word "accept" within your application to show you have read and accepted these rules.

    We reserve the right to change, update, remove or add to any one of these rules at any time. By applying for hosting you are consenting to agree and uphold all these rules, and leave FansiteHosting.org non-accountable for future issues concerning the above terms and conditions.
